Grow Your SaaS Business This Fall Through TinySeed Program
Looking for a way to accelerate your B2B SaaS business? TinySeed is opening its new round of accelerator SaaS programs this fall. But first, let’s find out more about TinySeed and why SaaS business owners should apply for their program.
What is TinySeed?
TinySeed is an accelerator created for recently started SaaS business founders. The program is designed to help founders optimize their products and services and grow faster in their industry.
It’s the first B2B SaaS accelerator designed to scale software businesses without needing traditional fundraising. Businesses are also free from the risk of losing control and the pressure of building a unicorn.
In addition to receiving funding, founders accepted into TinySeed’s year-long program will receive practical guidance, advice, and mentorship from seasoned entrepreneurs.
Benefits of joining TinySeed
TinySeed invests in early-stage, mostly bootstrapped B2B SaaS companies. By joining TinySeed, early startups and B2B SaaS businesses will receive funds and networking opportunities to guide founders to the next level.
TinySeed isn’t only about the money. The founders offer an antidote to startup life’s general loneliness and may even promote friendly competition among businesses in similar niches.
With regular in-person and online events, subject matter training, and access to 100+ experts, most founders say that the community matters more than the money!
What is the minimum revenue for applying? And will all applicants be funded?
You can apply when your MRR (monthly recurring revenue) is at or above $500. Every application round is different; unfortunately, TinySeed is not looking to fund as many companies as possible and will narrow down to a cohort of 15-20 startups.
However, it still depends on the quality of your business as TinySeed once funded all applicants in one round due to their fantastic quality at the time. TinySeed tries to keep its batch size small to make better connections with every business owner.
Does TinySeed welcome B2C SaaS companies?
TinySeed’s content is mainly designed for B2B businesses. If you own a B2C business and are looking to invest in TinySeed, you’ll likely have a less optimal experience because the mentors they provide are specialized in B2B.
However, if your B2C business has some B2B components, TinySeed can help you grow by focusing more on the B2B side of your business.
Are international companies welcome?
TinySeed caters to B2B companies worldwide but focuses more on Europe, France, Australia, New Zealand, and Canada. If you and your business come from outside these countries, TinySeed will hire legal agents from specific countries to ensure a seamless onboarding process. They have also worked with businesses from South Asia, India, and Pakistan.
Note that if you’re a business owner who travels a lot, it doesn’t matter where you are located but where your company is based. TinySeed is also happy to adjust your preferred time when making online calls to ensure you won’t have any 3 AM wake-up calls!
What kind of mentoring programs will you receive in the first year?
TinySeed aims to have one hour-long call per week (4 hours per month) based on online events that consist of 2 informational calls:
- The first 2-3 months will consist of introduction calls, and in the latter half of the year, mentors will fill in the content of the calls, which will include Q&A and other gathering events.
- The other two monthly calls consist of mastermind calls, which let business owners connect with other founders to experience the full community and support.
If your business has three founders, will all of you get the mentorship?
Yes, as long as all three founders are full-time founders. TinySeed defines founders as:
- Owning at least 50% equity and
- Fully participate in building the business (no other full-time job).
If all three founders fit the criteria, you will join the program together. However, if, for example, only two of you fit the requirements (one still has a full-time job or is not fully invested in the business), the other person will not participate in the program.
Apply to TinySeed’s Fall 2024 SaaS accelerators!
Before applying to TinySeed’s SaaS accelerator program, which opens from September 2nd to 15th, 2024, you should know that the competition is stiff. So, how can you increase your chances of being accepted?
The best startups that fit this program have launched their product and have seen a good amount of traction, are eager to learn and are ambitious about their business.
